Switching Squads

Updated over 4 months ago

Note:

Each player can only belong to one squad at a time. Joining a new squad will automatically remove you from your previous one.

While there isn’t currently an in-game feature for switching squads, it’s still possible to join a friend’s squad manually by following the steps below.

Please note that this method is not officially supported, and may not work in all cases.

How to Join a Friend’s Squad

  1. Have your friend open their squad chat — usually named something like “Thug Life Squad”, though the name may have been changed by the chat administrator.

  2. Your friend should click the three dots (⋯) in the top-right corner of the chat window.

  3. Select Add People.

  4. Your friend should choose your name from their list and tap Add.

  5. Once added, click any Thug Life notification inside that chat.

    • The game will open and display a prompt asking if you want to switch squads — select Yes to confirm.

Leaving Your Old Squad

  • After joining your new squad, leave your old squad’s Facebook/Messenger conversation to avoid confusion.

  • Be careful not to click on notifications from your old squad, as doing so will automatically rejoin you to it.

Squad Full?

  • If the squad you’re trying to join is already full, you won’t be able to enter and may see an error message.

  • In this case, ask the squad administrator to remove an inactive member to make space for you.
