Invite friends to play Thug Life and earn rewards when they join and start playing. This article explains how to invite correctly, how rewards are granted, how to verify recruits, and what to check if you don’t receive a reward.
How to invite a friend and get rewards!
Only invitations sent from inside Thug Life count for referral rewards. To invite correctly:
Open the game and tap the blue menu button in the top-left.
Tap Invite Friends.
Tap the yellow Invite button and follow the in-game prompts to send the invite.
Important: Using Facebook’s generic Share button or your device’s OS-level share dialog does not count as an in-game invite and will not grant referral rewards.
When you’ll receive rewards
You will receive your invite reward after your friend joins the game and starts playing.
After your friend has joined and begun playing, reload the game (close and reopen it or switch back to the game) so the reward is delivered to your account.
How to check whether a recruit counted
Open the in-game News section and look for the recruitment message. The News entry shows whether the friend was recruited by you or by a rival.
If the News indicates the friend was recruited by a rival or by someone else, you won’t receive the reward. If the News shows they were recruited by you, the reward should appear after you reload the game.
Common reasons you didn’t receive a reward
The friend didn’t join via your in-game invite (they used Facebook share, a different invite, or joined on their own).
The recruit joined but you didn’t reload the game afterward, so the reward hasn’t been delivered yet.
The friend accepted an invite sent from someone else (another player’s invite) and that invite was credited to that other player.
There may be a short delay between the friend joining and the reward being shown — try reloading the game or waiting a few minutes.
Troubleshooting checklist
If you still think you should have received a reward, gather the following before contacting support:
The date and time (including timezone) when your friend joined/started playing.
The friend’s Facebook name (or handle) and any screenshots showing they joined.
A screenshot of the News entry that shows the recruitment message, or of your invite flow when you sent the invite.
Your User ID (found in your profile) so support can locate your account.
Provide these items to support and they can investigate whether the recruit was credited properly.
