Overview
Dream Drift is a limited-time event where your pet falls asleep and dreams of becoming a superhero. You enter the dream with them, choose which hero your pet becomes, and try to win every level in the dream in a row within 3 hours to claim the Dream Treasure.
The event runs from Friday through Sunday each week. Dream Drift unlocks once you reach puzzle level 60.
How to enter
Tap the Dream Drift button on your home screen while the event is running. The button shows how much time is left in the event window.
Your pet needs to be awake and well to enter the dream. If your pet is:
Sick or unwell — you will be prompted to cure them first, and the button switches to a “Cure” option.
Passed away — you will be prompted to revive them first.
Sleeping, in daycare, or wanting to go for a walk — you will need to resolve that first before entering.
Once your pet is ready, tap Begin The Dream to start.
Choosing your hero
Your pet can become one of four heroes. Each hero has a special skill that fires automatically at the start of the level:
Hero | Skill |
Rumble Hero | A mighty stomp shakes the dream, cracking obstacle layers |
Whirlwind Dancer | Sweeps across the board in a ribbon of wind |
Sky Summoner | Calls booster gifts down from the dream sky |
Prism Painter | Repaints the scarcest color into its favorite color |
You can change your hero before every level. When the pre-game screen appears before each level, tap Change to pick a different hero. There is no limit on how often you can switch — pick whichever hero suits the board you are about to play.
The dream path
The dream is a path of 10 levels. These are special event levels:
They do not use your energy or lives.
They do not affect your main puzzle map progress.
You still earn stars, and they award coins just like normal puzzle levels.
Milestones and rewards
Three levels in every dream are milestones, marked on the dream map. Which levels these are depends on the length of the dream:
Dream length | Milestone levels |
10 levels | 4, 7, 10 |
12 levels | 4, 8, 12 |
The rewards are the same in both cases:
Milestone | Rewards |
First (level 4) | 50 gems |
Second (level 7 or 8) | 100 gems + 1 Pinwheel booster |
Final (level 10 or 12) | 500 gems + 1 Hammer booster + 1 Airplane booster |
Reaching a milestone secures its rewards for you. The first two milestones also act as checkpoints — see below.
If you clear the whole dream, you receive all three milestone rewards together in one Dream Treasure chest.
If your dream runs out of time before you finish, you still keep the rewards from the highest milestone you reached. These rewards become available to claim after the event window ends.
What happens if I lose a level?
Losing a level does not end your dream. As long as time remains, you return to the most recent milestone level at or before the level you lost, and continue from there. If you lost before reaching the first milestone, you start the dream again from level 1.
In a 10-level dream:
If you lose on | You restart from |
Levels 1–3 | Level 1 |
Levels 4–6 | Level 4 |
Levels 7–10 | Level 7 |
In a 12-level dream:
If you lose on | You restart from |
Levels 1–3 | Level 1 |
Levels 4–7 | Level 4 |
Levels 8–12 | Level 8 |
Quitting a level partway through counts the same as losing it.
Your timer keeps running through a loss, so only the 3-hour limit or the end of the event window can end a dream early. There is no limit on how many times you can retry.
The 3-hour timer
Once you begin the dream, you have 3 hours to complete every level in it. The timer keeps running whether or not you have the game open, and it is shown under your sleeping pet on the home screen. When less than 15 minutes remain, the timer switches to an urgent state.
If the event window ends before your 3 hours are up, your dream ends when the event ends.
If the timer runs out before you finish, the dream ends and your progress resets. You can start a fresh dream any time while the event is still running.
What happens to my pet during a dream?
While a dream is running, your pet is shown asleep in bed at home and you will not be able to feed, clean, or play with them until the dream ends. If you tap your pet, you will see a “Taking a nap…” message.
Dreaming does not pause your pet’s needs. Hunger and your pet’s other care needs continue to change while it dreams, so your pet may need attention when you return. Because a dream can run for up to 3 hours, we recommend taking care of your pet before you begin one.
Your pet returns to normal as soon as the dream ends, either by completing the final level or by the timer running out.
How many times can I play?
You can start as many dreams as you like during the event window until you complete one. You can only complete Dream Drift once per event window. After you finish the final level, the button shows “Complete” and you can reopen your completion screen, but you cannot play again until the next event.
Each new dream starts fresh from level 1 with a new hero selection.
Running out of moves
If you run out of moves in a dream level, you can spend gems to continue. Continuing keeps your streak going; declining ends the attempt.
Why can’t I see Dream Drift?
If you do not see the Dream Drift button, check the following:
The event may not be running. Dream Drift runs Friday through Sunday each week.
You may not have reached puzzle level 60 yet. Dream Drift unlocks at level 60.
You may have already completed it this week. Look for the “Complete” state on the button.
If none of these apply, Dream Drift is most likely not yet available on your account. The event is currently rolling out to a limited group of players, and it is not something that can be switched on by request. It will become available to more players over time, so please keep an eye out for it in a future event window.
