Pet Health & Care

Overview

Your Buruburu has five core needs: Stomach (hunger), Love (happiness), Cleanliness, Toilet, and Tooth Health. Each of these changes over time while your pet is awake. Keeping your pet well cared for keeps it happy and healthy — neglecting it can lead to sickness, and in severe cases, your pet may pass away.

The five needs

  • Stomach — Stomach decreases over time, causing your pet to get hungry. When your pet gets extremely hungry, it begins to feel stressed. Feeding your pet will increase its satisfaction and restore its fullness.

  • Love — Love also decreases over time, causing your pet to start looking lonely. When Love drops to an extremely low level, your pet feels stressed due to loneliness. Playing with it using toys or treats will restore its happiness.

  • Cleanliness — After a certain amount of time, your pet’s body begins to smell. If they remain dirty for too long, they’ll start to feel stressed and may become ill. Giving them a bath will restore their cleanliness.

  • Toilet — After a certain amount of time, your pet’s urge to relieve themselves builds up, and they can no longer hold it in. If they continue to hold it in, they’ll start to feel stressed and may become ill. Taking them to the bathroom will relieve them.

  • Tooth health — Feeding them food (especially treats) increases the acidity of their teeth. If their dental health drops too low, they may develop cavities. You can improve this with dental care products.

All five needs change only while your pet is awake. During sleep (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM JST), needs are paused.

Evolution Stage & Species

The rate at which a pet’s needs change varies depending on its evolution stage and species. Young pets (infant and child stages) require more frequent care, as their need levels drop more quickly and they demand more attention. Once they reach adulthood, their needs change more slowly, making them easier to care for. Additionally, since the level of care required naturally varies by species, the pace of care will differ for each pet.

If You Ignore Your Pet’s Needs…

If you fail to meet your pet’s needs and its stress levels remain high for an extended period, your pet may become ill. If you leave the illness untreated, your pet will eventually become critically ill. If you leave this critical condition untreated, your pet will eventually pass away.

Safety Measures: Pets cannot die between 10:00 PM and 10:00 AM (Japan Standard Time). Additionally, there is a grace period between each stage, ensuring you have time to take action. However, if you continue to neglect your pet for extended periods, the risk will continue to rise.

Treating sickness

If your pet gets sick, you can use medicine items to cure it:

  • Capsule — Cures the illness to some extent (may fail)

  • Super Capsule — Guaranteed to cure the illness

If your pet has tooth cavity:

  • White Tooth — Cures the cavity to some extent (may fail)

  • Shining Tooth — Guaranteed to cure cavities

If your pet is in a dying state:

  • Magic Potion — May save your pet (may fail)

  • Gold Magic Potion — Guaranteed to save your pet

Medicine items will appear in the First Aid Kit menu when needed, depending on your pet’s health status. You can purchase them using B Points.

Daycare

If there are times when you simply can’t take care of your pet, you can drop it off at the daycare. While at the daycare, your pet’s needs are temporarily suspended, just as they are when it’s resting; it won’t get hungry, dirty, lonely, or sick.

*The daycare becomes available at Player Level 3.

After a pet passes away

When a pet passes away, a new pet is born, and you can start raising it. Your progress (puzzle levels, coins, and items) remains unaffected. Each pet you raise contributes to your overall player experience.

Tips for keeping your pet healthy

  • Check on your pet regularly! — Feed them, play with them, give them a bath, and take them to the bathroom

  • Use a pet daycare! — When you know you’ll be away from your pet for a long time, use a pet daycare to keep them in good condition

  • Pay attention to their dental health, too! — Treats show your love and fill their bellies, but they raise the acidity level in their mouths faster than regular meals!
