Overview
When your Buruburu becomes an adult (teku teku stage), you can invite another player (who must also have an adult Buruburu) to form a duo with your adult Buruburu. If your invitation is accepted, your Buruburu and the other player’s Buruburu form a duo and debut at the Buruburu Cafe. When they debut, they leave their owners and go off on their own. After the duo leaves, two shards (one from each parent) are left behind; these shards are mixed together to create the next generation of Buruburu for both players to raise.
How to Form a Duo
Click Friends, then click Visit Friend. (Players cannot visit friends who are currently online in BBD.)
Once you are visiting, invite your friend’s adult Buruburu to form a duo (the invite option is located at the right side of the screen).
Choose an item (usually Pledge Coffee).
Send the invitation message.
Invitation timing and reminders
If the invitee doesn’t respond within 12 hours, the invitation is processed as a refusal.
If the other player has not accepted and time has not expired, a reminder message can be sent. The inviter can send a reminder to the same player only once per day.
Invitation cancellation and rewards
If the inviter or invitee dies, the status of invitations they have sent or received becomes “canceled.”
If the invitation is accepted, both the inviter and the invitee receive a duo formation reward at the end of the sequence.
After the duo and shards
After the other player accepts, the pets form a duo and debut at the Buruburu Cafe — this means they leave their owners and go off on their own.
They leave a shard of themselves behind; these shards are mixed together to create a new Buruburu for each player, which influences the kind of pet you receive.
Currently, the pet making its debut at the Buruburu Cafe is the final step of the game for that pet — you will be unable to check in on it after that, and should instead focus on raising the new child it left you.
Notes
The species of the new Buruburu is determined randomly based on the parent Buruburus.
The same species is delivered to both players.
After the pet name is determined, the player earns player XP.
Once a Pledge Coffee is purchased, it is consumed even if the duo request is ultimately rejected and is not eligible for a B-Points refund. Make sure your friend actually wants to duo before buying!
