Overview
Match-2 is the puzzle mini-game that powers progression in Buruburu. Every level lists the target blocks you must clear — clearing those targets completes the level. Play Match-2 to earn B-Points and Gems (used for pet care and evolution), Match-2 boosters for puzzle play, and wins that count toward some events and leagues.
Basic play
Tap two or more adjacent blocks of the same color to clear them.
Larger matches produce stronger effects and can create boosters (special items).
Each level gives you a limited number of moves. Plan each move so you clear the listed target blocks before your moves run out.
There is no target score — the goal is always to clear the listed target blocks.
Objective
Every level’s objective is to clear the listed target blocks (for example: specific blocks, obstacles, or goal objects). Make moves that reduce the target blocks to zero to finish the level.
Boosters — the basics
Fire Cracker — created by matching 5 blocks; clears a full row or column. Direction is randomized when created.
Water Balloon — created by matching 7 or 8 blocks; clears the blocks immediately around it (local area clear).
Lollipop — created by matching 9 or more blocks; removes all blocks of a chosen color from the board.
Combining boosters: Combining two boosters produces a far stronger effect than using them separately (for example, Fire Cracker + Fire Cracker clears both a row and a column). Use combinations to clear extremely difficult boards.
Level objectives & obstacles
The on-screen level hint shows the exact target blocks you must remove — read it before you start.
Obstacles block blocks or prevent matches until cleared. Different obstacles require different actions:
Match next to them — many obstacles break when you match adjacent blocks.
Hit multiple times — some obstacles need several matches or hits.
Use a booster — some obstacles must be removed by a booster.
Always check the level hint for the obstacle’s specific clearing method.
Tips for passing hard levels
Read the objective first. Focus on clearing the listed target blocks.
Clear obstacles early. Opening the board makes it easier to form large matches.
Build and save big boosters for moments that will directly finish the objective.
Combine boosters whenever possible for the biggest clears.
If a level won’t finish
Confirm you cleared the listed target blocks
Restart the game and try the level again.
